Switching au pair agencies in the Netherlands

Recent developments in the au pair sector have led to questions from host families and au pairs about what happens if an agency can no longer act as a recognised sponsor.

According to publicly available information from the Dutch Immigration and Naturalisation Service (IND) and reporting by NOS, the recognised sponsorship of Nina.Care has been withdrawn. This may affect au pairs and host families whose stay or placement depends on this status.

Depending on your individual situation, it may be necessary to explore alternative options or take further steps within the required timeframe set by the IND. Would you like to understand what this means for your situation? We are happy to review your case and advise you on the available possibilities, in line with current regulations.

Please note that we can only assist in specific cases and with au pairs from selected countries.

Europe: All countries
Americas: Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, Argentina, Canada, and the United States
Oceania: Australia and New Zealand
Africa: South Africa, Namibia, and Zimbabwe
Asia: Thailand, China, Japan, South Korea, Indonesia, and the Philippines
(For au pairs from Indonesia and the Philippines, we advise a maximum age of 23 years.)

Kind regards,
