How do you find that one nice au pair who would fit perfectly in your family? This can be done in two ways:

Nowadays, most host families opt for the self-match method. The advantage of this is that online platforms often have up to 1000 candidates from several different countries registered who all dream of working as an au pair in the Netherlands. In addition, the costs of the self-match service are also lower because you do the pre-selection of your candidate. For busy families for whom this is not an option, our full service would be a better fit. Below we explain how it works per method.
If you want to search for a candidate yourself, we recommend that you use the website www.aupairworld.com for this. AuPairWorld is the world's largest market player and a reliable matching platform for au pairs and host families. It offers the possibility to view au pair profiles, make selections (for example by start date, experience and country of origin) and after creating a host family account you can also initiate contact with au pair candidates.
It is customary to first exchange some messages and then schedule a video call with the candidates who appeal to you the most. If you have made a choice, we are happy to take it over from there onward. We will contact the au pair of your choice, conduct an extensive selection interview and request all relevant documents. If the au pair successfully passes our screening, we will ensure that he/she can travel to the Netherlands as soon as possible.
With our full service, we call on our international network of qualified partner agencies to find your ideal au pair match. First we compile an inventory of your wishes and then together with our colleagues in South Africa, Latin America and Asia we search for the best au pair for your family.
All candidates registered with our partner agencies have already successfully completed a selection interview. An extensive digital file is available for each candidate. This includes information about the candidate's experience, background and motivation, photos, diplomas and references, a health declaration and a certificate of good conduct. Of course, we expect the candidates to have good English speaking skills, an affinity with children and with doing light housework. They must also have good social and communication qualities.
During the selection procedure, we always think along with you. About two weeks after the inventory of your wishes, you will receive a first proposal round with suitable candidates by e-mail. Then you can start video calls with the proposed candidates, so that you can find out with whom you have the best click. As soon as you have made a final choice, we will start the process for arrival of this candidate to the Netherlands.
